Suntrack to Reach 50 GW and One Million Solar Tracker Controllers by 2024

Apr 26, 2024

The leading brand in solar tracker controllers announces a historic milestone as it prepares to launch new disruptive products into the market

Suntrack, the global leader in solar tracker controllers, will reach one million deployed devices across over 2,000 solar PV sites worldwide this year, representing a cumulative capacity of 50 GW.

This growth is primarily driven by increasing demand and forecasts indicating a fivefold increase in solar energy generation capacity by 2030. Suntrack will accompany the sector's evolution with its global supply capability from strategically located production plants in Alonsotegi (Bizkaia), Albuquerque (United States), and Kunshan (China), as well as its advanced service centers in Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, and Chile).

New Products

In 2007, Suntrack introduced the first generation of solar tracker controllers based on astronomical algorithms. Suntrack is currently immersed in the launch of new products. In the upcoming month of June, during the Intersolar trade-fair in Munich, they will unveil what they consider to be one of the most significant milestones for the company. "Over the past few months, our Design and Innovation teams have been developing the solution that will reshape the photovoltaic solar industry as we know it. It will be a market turning point," the company points out.

"Every day, we feel the responsibility to continue expanding our ecosystem of products and services, offering innovative solutions to our customers through technology," explains Noemí Pérez, Commercial Director of P4Q, Suntrack's parent company.
